Who We Are

Pakistan neurology community held its first formal meeting in 1994 at Lahore while in 2003 organized its first national meeting under the umbrella of Pakistan Society of Neurology (PSN). In March 2014, it formally got registered under the society act and became formally affiliated with the World Federation of Neurology (WFN) as an affiliated national representative body.

To promote excellence in neurological care through education and research across Pakistan, ensuring equitable access to state-of-the-art services, and ensuring brain health for all.

Our Mission

The Pakistan Society of Neurology (PSN) is committed to:

• Enhancing the quality of neurological care through evidence-based practice and continuous professional development
• Strengthening training and research in neurology to meet national and international standards
• Advocating for policies that improve brain health, stroke care, epilepsy, and other neurological services across all regions of Pakistan
• Building collaborations with global and regional neurology communities to share knowledge and resources
• Raising public awareness about neurological disorders, their prevention, and timely treatment

PSN primarily encourages neurologists within Pakistan to maintain links with each other, in order to:

• Provide leadership to the existing and upcoming neurologists in Pakistan
• Promote more effectively the welfare and interests of its members
• Establish mutually beneficial relationships with other similar societies
• Provide administrative infrastructure for academic neurology development
• Exchange ideas to promote better patient care and enhance research activities
